Geoff Masci DC, Chiropractor

Thank you for visiting my website. I am currently recovering from a leg amputation. I am using this blog to update everyone: http://geoffmascidc.blogspot.com/

We have recently scaled back our active, day to day practice and now provide:

    • Locum Tenens (practice and vacation coverage)
    • Independent Chiropractic Examinations
    • Specialty chiropractic technique applications

After more than 34 years of rewarding, direct patient care practice, I have discovered that the experience that I have gained, as I move into my senior years, can still help others. I want to give back to the patients, my colleagues and the community, the benefits I have derived from them throughout my career.

What do we do?
A chiropractor is a doctor trained in the analysis and diagnosis of spinal and related joint conditions. Customarily, people presume we only treat back and neck conditions, but we can do that and much more.

Do I need a Chiropractor?
If you have back or neck pain, you probably need a chiropractor. If you have other joint pains in your shoulders, arms, hands, hips, legs, or feet, you probably should talk to a chiropractor first. Chiropractors are thoroughly trained in recognizing and evaluating your problem and then suggesting an appropriate treatment plan, or referral.

What is Chiropractic treatment?
When appropriate, Chiropractors treat people experiencing pain by traditional hands-on methods. These methods include: spinal adjustment, hot and cold therapies, exercise and stretching, home activities modification, and certain massage, and muscle relief techniques. Most of our treatments are painless, quick, and often result in substantial pain relief. We also utilize rehabilitative and musculoskeletal therapeutic programs and treatment methods.

Can a Chiropractor tell me if I would be better helped by another specialist?

  • If you need to be referred for specialized treatment, we are trained to send you where you need to go.
  • We refer to an array of practitioners that would be right for your problem. Typically, we refer to Neurologists, Orthopedists, Physical Medicine Specialists, Rheumatologists, Naturopaths, Headache and Pain Clinics, Dentists, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Family Practitioners, Acupuncturists, Nutritionists and Massage Therapists. All these specialties blend well with Chiropractic.
  • In my 37 years of experience, I have found that few patients can be helped by only one health care discipline. My experience tells me that it is vitally important that you should embrace the most comprehensive, curative plan that can be formulated to attack your problem.
  • If you want to get well, you need to make a commitment to the goal of full recovery. If this is not possible, you should attempt to seize all the wellness that you can achieve.

Is Chiropractic care expensive?
Chiropractic care generally costs much less than other comparable medical or physical therapy procedures. Most managed care and insurance plans cover chiropractic care. We have many plans to meet your needs.
